Douglas Smith is a Canadian American actor who can currently be seen in a major role in the second season of HBO’s Big Little Lies. In 2017, Douglas appeared in the Gus Van Sant directed miniseries When We Rise for ABC. In addition, he can be seen in a recurring role on Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger’s HBO series Vinyl. Douglas Smith starred in a string of films that included STX’s hit horror flick The Bye Bye Man, the independent features Evan’s Crime and Bottom of the World and a supporting role in EuropaCorp’s Miss Sloane, across from Jessica Chastain.

Previously, Douglas played a supporting role in the blockbuster Terminator Genisys opposite Emilia Clarke, a lead role in the Blumhouse/Universal feature Ouija, Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral, Analeine Cal y Mayor's Treading Water and Jerome Sable's Stage Right.  

Douglas is perhaps best known for his starring role as "Ben Henrickson" on HBO’s critically acclaimed series Big Love, starring Bill Paxton and Jeanne Tripplehorn. He also starred in the hit Fox 2000 film Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, opposite Logan Lerman, the second installment of the internationally successful franchise.
