Season 3 of HBO Europe’s original series SHADOWS available to stream today

Season three of HBO Europe’s hit Romanian crime drama SHADOWS is now available to stream on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO on Demand, and partners’ streaming platforms.

SHADOWS continues to follow Relu Oncescu (Serban Pavlu) in a season-long psychological fight as paranoia consumes him as he starts to question everyone’s loyalty. Relu battles the looming threat of psychotic cop Emilian (Laurențiu Bănescu) as he and Nicu (Costel Cașcaval) work to put together the biggest deal of their lives. Season 3 also sees the return of Relu’s wife Gina (Maria Obretin) and daughter Magda (Mădălina Craiu), who are both dealing with the fallout from the discovery of his double life. Despite being collateral damage, they aren’t letting Relu’s bad decisions prevent them from rising above the situation. Nico is trying to stay alive and keep her own sanity, while being trapped in a game of bluff and lies between her increasingly twisted relationship with Emilian and her fear of her murderous cousin Nicu.

SHADOWS Season 3 is written and directed by Bogdan Mirică. Alina David serves as Producer and Steve Matthews as Executive Producer. Johnathan Young and Antony Root are Executive Producers for HBO Europe. Produced for HBO by Multi Media Est, represented by Dragoş Vîlcu and Valentin Antofi.

Based on a format created by Boilermaker Burberry, and licensed by U.K. formats specialists DRG Formats, SHADOWS is the latest programming made available to U.S. subscribers from HBO’s international partners, and joins BEFOREIGNERS and THE PIONEER from HBO Europe, and FOOD LORE and THE TEENAGE PSYCHIC from HBO Asia, which are available to stream now.
