  • HBO Max announced today a straight-to-series order for the new drama THE GIRLS ON THE BUS, from executive producers/writers Julie Plec and Amy Chozick, Berlanti Productions, and Warner Bros. Television.

 

  • Logline: Inspired by a chapter of Amy Chozick’s best-selling book, this comedic character-driven drama chronicles four female journalists who follow every move of a parade of flawed presidential candidates, while finding friendship, love, and scandal along the way.

 

  • Inspired by a chapter in the best-selling book “Chasing Hillary” by New York Times correspondent Amy Chozick, THE GIRLS ON THE BUS television series focuses in on the lives and relationships of these female journalists.

 

  • Credits: Julie Plec (through her My So-Called Company) and Amy Chozick serve as executive producers/writers. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden are executive producers through Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with Warner Bros. Television.
