Sunday MLB on TBS Coverage to Feature Four Current Division Leaders as the Pennant Chase Heats Up

Chicago White Sox at Tampa Bay Rays to be Showcased, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. ET;

Full National Telecast of S.F. Giants-Atlanta Braves to Follow, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m.

MLB on TBS live game coverage will feature the American League Central-leading Chicago White Sox and reigning AL MVP Jose Abreu visiting a fellow first place team when they take on the AL East-leading Tampa Bay Rays and rookie sensation Wander Franco in a potential Postseason preview, Sunday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. ET.  Brian Anderson and Ron Darling will call the action from Tropicana Field.  The Rays/White Sox game on TBS will not be available in the local Chicago market.

The San Francisco Giants – current owners of MLB's best record – will then be showcased in a full national telecast when they visit the NL East-leading Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman, Sunday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m.  Anderson and Darling will provide commentary for Giants/Braves.

ADDITIONAL 2021 MLB ON TBS NOTES

  • TBS will nationally showcase one Sunday afternoon game through the remainder of the 2021 MLB regular season
  • The network will be the exclusive home of the National League throughout the 2021 MLB Postseason, from the Wild Card through the National League Championship Series
  • Beginning in 2022, MLB on TBS will air a season-long Tuesday night franchise, which will include a new studio show, weekly Tuesday night game coverage and expansive digital rights for Bleacher Report and additional WarnerMedia platforms
