NBA on TNT American Express Roadshow to Tip-Off NBA Opening Night from the Bay Area with Live Performances from GRAMMY® Nominated The Kid LAROI and Doechii on Tuesday, Oct. 18

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports' fan-focused NBA on TNT American Express Road Show will return Tuesday, Oct. 18, tipping off the 2022-23 NBA regular season in the Bay Area - home to the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors. Themed around TNT's popular Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA, the day-long fan experience - which opens at 1:30 p.m. on the campus of University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) - will include live studio telecasts, a variety of NBA on TNT attractions and musical performances by GRAMMY® nominated, multiplatinum recording artist The Kid LAROI and Top Dawg Entertainment's rapper Doechii.

The NBA on TNT American Express Road Show - located at the UCSF Health Mission Bay campus - will be anchored by TNT's Inside the NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal providing live pre-game and halftime coverage from the venue.  

House of Highlights' NBA-themed podcast Through the Wire, will also stream a live 60-minute episode from the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show footprint to tip-off the NBA regular season. Hosts Kenny Beecham, Pierre Andresen, Darrick Miller, and Mike Heard will share their hot takes on the season's storylines, interact with fans and more.

In addition to NBA on TNT American Express Road Show's live production, fan attractions will feature

a custom mural with decals celebrating the Bay Area, NBA on TNT and the Golden State Warriors - by local artist collective The Illuminaries.  As an extension of the mural, fans will be able to design their own NBA Opening Night T-shirt with mural elements. Other attractions include fan competitions at NBA on TNT arcade, custom live printing stations for limited edition NBA Opening Night t-shirts, food, drinks, premium giveaways and more.  Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. local time, and fans interested in attending can click here to register for free tickets.  

Also, a live stream of the performances will be available via NBA on TNT's YouTube and Facebook pages.

The NBA on TNT will tip off the 2022-23 NBA season, that evening with a blockbuster Opening Night doubleheader headlined by the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry hosting the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James at 10 p.m.

Earlier in the night, a star-studded Eastern Conference matchup will mark the 27th consecutive season that TNT will tip off as the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics - with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown - host the Philadelphia 76ers, led by Joel Embiid and James Harden, at 7:30 p.m.

TNT's NBA Opening Night event in the Bay Area marks American Express' expanded relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports across its multi-platform NBA coverage through a new multi-year marketing partnership. The official card of the NBA, WNBA and NBA G-League, American Express has also been the exclusive presenting sponsor of the NBA on TNT halftime show - the American Express Halftime Report - since 2015.

This new multi-year extension agreement continues American Express' significant brand presence across TNT's tentpole events throughout the season, including NBA Opening Night and NBA All-Star, on-air during pre-game shows, within the game and during Inside the NBA, as well as across NBA on TNT's social media channels. American Express and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports will collaborate on custom branded integrations, experiential marketing, and other activations throughout the season, celebrating basketball and sports culture and delivering memorable experiences for fans.
