NBA TV Drives Toward Playoffs with Eight Games in Four Days Including Quadruple Header Action on Sunday, April 9

Sunday’s Four Game Lineup Highlighted by Cleveland vs. Atlanta at 3:30 p.m. ET

Triple-Double Machine Russell Westbrook Headlines Final Fan Night of the Season when Oklahoma City Visits Minnesota on Tuesday, April 11, at 8 p.m.

NBA TV’s regular season schedule will culminate with eight live game telecasts in four days, including a quadruple header on Sunday, April 9, and this year’s final Fan Night doubleheader on Tuesday, April 11.

The final weekend of regular season action will tip off with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Atlanta Hawks, as both teams jockey for playoff position in the Eastern Conference, on Friday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. The night’s second game will showcase the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook – chasing triple double history – visiting the Phoenix Suns and Devin Booker at 10 p.m.  Live action will continue with the Chicago Bulls and Jimmy Butler visiting the Brooklyn Nets and Brook Lopez on Saturday, April 8, at 5 p.m.

Sunday’s expansive slate of games will be headlined by the Cavaliers and LeBron James visiting the Hawks and Dwight Howard at 3:30 p.m. The day’s action will tip off with the Toronto Raptors and DeMar DeRozan facing the New York Knicks and Carmelo Anthony at noon. Following Cavs/Hawks, the Houston Rockets and James Harden will visit the Sacramento Kings at 6 p.m., and the Los Angeles Lakers and D’Angelo Russell face the Minnesota Timberwolves at 9:30 p.m.

The Thunder and Westbrook will be the centerpiece of the season’s final NBA TV Fan Night as they visit the Timberwolves and Karl Anthony Towns on Tuesday, April 11, at 8 p.m.

NBA TV to Deliver Extensive End of Season & Playoffs Preview Coverage

NBA TV will be the fans’ destination for up-to-the-minute news and analysis through the regular season’s final hours on Wednesday, April 12, including live look-ins on NBA CrunchTime at 9 p.m. and analysis on NBA GameTime starting at 11 p.m.

One day later, comprehensive NBA Playoffs coverage will begin with The Starters on Thursday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m., followed by the NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Preview show at 8 p.m. and NBA Western Conference Playoff Preview at 9 p.m.

New NBA Digital Series Race to the MVP Reviews Case for Top Stars

A new series of originally produced video features will dive into this year’s heated Kia MVP race, with features and analysis breaking down the case for Houston’s Harden, Cleveland’s James, San Antonio Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard and Oklahoma City’s Westbrook as the regular season concludes. The multi-platform series recently featured Sekou Smith’s in-depth analysis of Westbrook’s historic campaign. Smith ponders how it could be possible for voters not to recognize the first season-long effort since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double with an MVP honor. Race to the MVP will continue daily with content spanning NBA TV’s GameTime, NBA.com and NBA TV’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds.

Inside Stuff

This week’s Inside Stuff – premiering Saturday, April 8, at 4 p.m. – will be hosted by Grant Hill and Kristen Ledlow. Hill sits down with two-time WNBA Champion Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm to discuss her stellar career. Additional features include a visit with New Orleans’ Jrue Holiday looking at his family’s inspiring story, the Utah Jazz’s NBA-best seven international players and a “Playlist” segment with Toronto’s DeMar DeRozan. “Jam Session” will feature “Believer” by Imagine Dragons.

Additional Programming Highlights

NBA TV’s The Starters, the daily 30-minute studio show that recaps the most entertaining moments from around the NBA, is co-hosted by J.E. Skeets and Tas Melas, along with Trey Kerby and Leigh Ellis with new episodes airing regularly at 7 p.m.  The show’s popular Pick ‘Em Payoff segment on Wednesday subjected the health-conscious Ellis to the Fast Food Roulette wheel. 

10 Before Tip, the network’s half-hour show providing the latest news and perspectives from around the NBA before tip-off is hosted by Jared Greenberg and airs regularly on weeknights at 6:30 p.m.
