NHL on TNT to Host Two Nights of Marquee Doubleheaders This Week, Led by Stars Alex Ovechkin, Johnny Gaudreau, Brad Marchand and Sidney Crosby, as Regular Season Enters Final Stretch

Tampa Bay Lightning to Visit Washington Capitals on Wednesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Anaheim Ducks Host Calgary Flames at 10 p.m.   On Sunday, April 10, NHL on TNT to Feature Boston Bruins at Washington Capitals at 1:30 p.m. & Nashville Predators at Pittsburgh Penguins at 4 p.m.

NHL on TNT heads into the final weeks of regular season play with two blockbuster doubleheaders featuring top Stanley Cup Playoffs contenders and some of the biggest stars in the NHL — Alex OvechkinJohnny GaudreauBrad Marchand and Sidney Crosby.

 

The Washington Capitals and Ovechkin will make their first of two appearances on TNT this week on Wednesday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m., hosting the defending two-time Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightning and the team’s leading points-getter, Steven Stamkos. Brendan Burke will provide play by play, with commentary from Darren Pang and Tarik El-Bashir

 

Later at 10 p.m., the Anaheim Ducks and Trevor Zegras will host Gaudreau and the Calgary Flames, currently first in the Pacific Division. Kenny Albert will be on the game call, with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Keith Jones.

 

Coverage will begin with an NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon pregame studio show from the NHL on TNT set in Atlanta. Host Liam McHugh will be joined by three-time Stanley Cup Champion Rick Tocchet, 10-year NHL veteran  Anson Carter and hockey personality and former AHL & NHL veteran Paul Bissonnette

 

On Sunday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m., the Capitals and Ovechkin return to NHL on TNT to host Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins, with both teams currently locked into the two Eastern Conference Wild Card positions. Game call team will be Albert, Olczyk and Jones. 

 

Then at 4 p.m., the Nashville Predators will faceoff against Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in an East vs. West marquee matchup. Burke will provide play by play with commentary from Pang and Jackie Redmond.

 

The pregame studio show will feature McHugh, joined by Wayne Gretzky, Tocchet and Carter. The NHL on TNT studio team will provide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report
