TNT Sports Unveils World Class Commentators for First-Ever World Sevens Football 7v7 Soccer Tournament in North America – Coverage Kicks Off Friday, Dec. 5

TNT Sports today announced its world-class talent roster for English-language U.S. coverage of the upcoming World Sevens Football 7v7 Soccer Tournament Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 7, live on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.  

 

The fast-paced W7F series has redefined women’s soccer with elite talent from eight of the best clubs in the world, an immersive fan-first experience, and a groundbreaking $5 million prize pool, the largest in the sport, designed to fuel intense, high-stakes competition. 

 

 

In a similar innovative spirit, TNT Sports’ coverage will be presented in a non-traditional fashion with veteran play-by-play voices Aly Trost Martin and Lisa Carlin calling the action while orchestrating a more free-flowing and conversational presentation of the match. Ana Jurka will report pitch side.  

 

 

 

Commentators will include National Soccer Hall of Famers and TNT Sports analysts Julie Foudy and Shannon Boxx, former U.S. Women’s National Team member Lori Lindsey, Olympian and TNT Sports personality Melissa Ortiz, Olympian and New Zealand National Team Captain Ali Riley, NWSL Champion Darian Jenkins and former pro Jordan Angeli.  

 

Two current USWNT teammates and recent NWSL “Best 11” honorees will serve as analysts – Olivia Moultrie and Avery Patterson.  

 

Building on its successful May 2025 debut in Portugal, W7F is again poised to deliver a high-energy three-day tournament. The powerhouse clubs from across the Americas scheduled to compete in Ft. Lauderdale are USA’s Kansas City Current and San Diego Wave FC from the NWSL, Mexico’s Club América and Tigres UANL, Canada’s AFC Toronto, Brazil’s Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, Colombia’s Deportivo Cali, and Uruguay’s Club Nacional de Football Femenino. 

 

W7F is committed to advancing the women’s game, providing a dynamic platform for players to showcase their skills, build their brands, and unlock new economic opportunities. The exhilarating format is built around player welfare, with rolling substitutions and short matches, that encourage and reward the artistry, creativity, and risk-taking on the ball that made players fall in love with the world’s game as kids.  

 

TNT Sports will produce domestic, English-language coverage for every match and on-site 30-minute studio shows – live from Ft. Lauderdale – throughout the three-day tournament. TNT Sports will enhance the fan experience with English-language studio programming plus additional ancillary programming throughout the tournament. Furthermore, TNT Sports’ Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, B/R Football and B/R W will produce and share content across their social platforms.
