Thursday’s 2024 Kia NBA Tip-Off Coverage Will Feature the San Antonio Spurs with Victor Wembanyama & Chris Paul Visiting the Dallas Mavericks with Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving & Klay Thompson, Followed by the Denver Nuggets & Nikola Jokic Hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder & Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 

 

Expanded Pregame Show – with Celtics Ring Ceremony & Inside the NBA Live from Boston – to Begin at 6 p.m.; Coverage Throughout the Night to Feature Performances by The Multi-Platinum Artist Shaboozey & Global Hitmaker Benson Boone 

TNT will tip off the 2024-25 NBA season with an exclusive Opening Night doubleheader headlined by the NBA Champion Boston Celtics with Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Jrue Holiday hosting the New York Knicks with Jalen Brunson, new additions Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns, Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. ET.  

 

The night’s second game will feature the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves with Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle at 10 p.m. This year’s doubleheader will lead off the company’s 41st consecutive year of NBA coverage and mark the 29th straight year in which TNT has tipped off the NBA regular season. 
  
2024 Kia NBA Tip-Off Opening Week coverage will continue on Thursday, Oct. 24, with the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama and newly added Chris Paul visiting the Dallas Mavericks with Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and offseason addition Klay Thompson at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at 10 p.m. 

 

Tuesday's pregame coverage, led by the Sports Emmy Award-winning studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith,will feature an expanded 90-minute TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax pregame show. The Inside the NBA presented by Kia team will be live from the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show in Boston throughout the night beginning at 6 p.m.  
 
Themed around TNT’s popular Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA presented by Kia, Tuesday’s free and family-friendly fan experience — with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. ET at City Hall Plaza — will feature a pregame musical performance by Country Music’s Hottest Rising Star Shaboozey and post-game performance by Global Pop Sensation Benson Boone. American Express Card Members will have access to a dedicated priority entrance at City Hall Plaza. 

 
TNT’s coverage will also showcase the Celtics’ ring ceremony prior to tip off.  
 
Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst), and Allie LaForce (reporter) will call Tuesday's Knicks/Celtics game, followed by Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Candace Parker (analyst), Stan Van Gundy (analyst) and Taylor Rooks (reporter) for Timberwolves/Lakers. Two nights later, Harlan, Miller and LaForce be in Dallas, while Eagle, Parker, Van Gundy and Jared Greenberg will be in Denver.  

 

This year’s season-long marketing campaign, "Unforgettable," will pay tribute to TNT's storied legacy and the game of basketball. It celebrates some of Inside the NBA’s most memorable moments with an array of artistic designs.
