Melanie Field is one of the stars of Pop TV’s scripted comedy Florida Girls. Inspired by the show’s creator Laura Chinn’s real life growing up in a trailer park in central Florida, the series follows four women who are forced to confront their stagnant lives when their only ambitious friend moves away to follow her dreams.  

Concurrently, she filmed a one season arc for season two of the hit Netflix series You starring Penn Badgely as a dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man who goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by. 

Field broke out as one of the leads in Paramount Networks’ Heathers, a reboot based on the 1988 cult classic film. She starred as the vicious leader of the Heathers, “Heather Chandler,” in the pitch black comedy anthology series.  

A graduate of New York University and Yale School of Drama, Field started her career working on

Broadway in shows including The Phantom of the Opera and Evita, as well as the First National Tour of Wicked.
