NBA TV’s Playoffs Coverage Highlighted by Originally Produced First Round Playoff Games & Extensive Studio Coverage

Live Game Coverage Tips Off with Washington vs. Toronto on Tuesday, April 17, at 7 p.m. ET 

The Starters’ One-Hour Special – “The Starties” –  to Premiere Tonight, April 12, at 7 p.m.;  Eastern & Western Conference Preview Shows to Follow Starting at 8 p.m.

NBA TV – the ultimate destination for complete NBA Playoffs coverage – will televise up to nine originally produced first round NBA Playoff games, along with extensive nightly NBA GameTime pre- and postgame studio coverage. The network’s live game schedule will begin Tuesday, April 17, with the Washington Wizards visiting the Toronto Raptors in Game 2 of the series at 7 p.m. ET. Pete Pranica will call the game with analyst Steve Smith and reporter Jared Greenberg.

The network’s live game schedule will continue Wednesday, April 18, with the Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Utah Jazz, Game 2, at 8 p.m. Spero Dedes will provide play-by-play with analyst Mike Fratello and reporter Dennis Scott. NBA TV coverage will also feature Portland Trail Blazers vs. New Orleans Pelicans, Game 3, on Thursday, April 19, at 9 p.m.

All NBA TV playoff telecasts will include mic’d coaches to bring fans closer to the action.

Each NBA TV game night will include the Autotrader Pregame Show, American Express Halftime Report and NBA GameTime Presented by Kia postgame show.

The Starters presented by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey will tip off tonight’s coverage with a special “The Starties” award show – hosted by Kristen Ledlow – at 7 p.m. Later, the network will highlight all 16 teams with its NBA Eastern Conference Playoff Preview show at 8 p.m., followed by the NBA Western Conference Playoff Preview at 9 p.m.

On Friday, April 13, NBA TV will set the stage with an hour-long NBA Playoff preview edition of 10 Before Tip presented by AT&T hosted by Jared Greenberg at 7 p.m. Later that evening, The Starters presented by Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey will preview the Playoffs at 8:30 p.m., followed by the latest installment of Shaqtin’ a Fool presented by Hotels.com at 9 p.m. An all-new Beyond the Paint hosted by Matt Winer will premiere at 10:30 p.m. with a look at Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey's "Small Ball" musical. Additionally, Sekou Smith will profile New Orleans' Emeka Okafor's return to the NBA and Chris Miles will visit with high school dunking phenom Zion Williamson.

This week’s NBA Inside Stuff, hosted by Grant Hill and Ledlow, will premiere on Saturday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m., with segments featuring Washington’s John Wall, Indiana’s Victor Oladipo and Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo.

NBA TV’s signature NBA GameTime studio show – including a deep rotation of leading basketball commentators – will provide highlights, news and analysis throughout the NBA Playoffs. Additional programming highlights include The Starters, airing Monday-Fridays, regularly at 6:30 p.m. through The Finals, and Playoff Playback, 60-minute versions of each playoff game.
