Last night’s classic win-or-go-home NLDS presented by Good Sam Game 5 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants averaged 6.5 million total viewers to deliver the most watched LDS telecast this postseason and the best NLDS game telecast on the network since 2017 (NLDS Game 5 – Cubs vs. Nationals). Dodgers/Giants NLDS Game 5 is up 75% over last year’s LDS Game 5 (Yankees/Rays) on TBS.

The Dodgers/Giants telecast peaked with 8.4 million viewers from 12:15-12:30 a.m. ET and set all-time records for an MLB on TBS game telecast in both the San Francisco (21.8 HH rating) and Los Angeles (18.5) markets.

TBS has delivered its most-watched MLB Postseason coverage since 2018 through the completion of the LDS, with an average of 3.9 million viewers. This year’s coverage is up 105% vs. 2020 and marks an increase of 11% over the comparable coverage in 2019.

The 2021 NL Postseason has led TBS to win the night across cable television four times. The network’s Postseason game telecasts have seen a 108% increase in People 18-49 and double-digit gains among all key demos, including a 74% lift among People 18-34, vs. last year.

Turner Sports’ TV Everywhere platforms have produced a record for streaming consumption on digital platforms, including an increase of 124% in minutes streamed vs. the same number of games during the 2019 Postseason, the last time the network carried NL games.  This year’s Postseason has produced seven of the top 10 performing MLB games streamed through Turner Sports’ TVE platforms.

The 2021 National League Postseason has generated over 28 million video views to date on Bleacher Report and Bleacher Report Walk-Off social handles.

TBS’s exclusive coverage of the 2021 National League Championship Series presented by loanDepot will begin tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 16, with Game 1 between the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers at 8 p.m. ET. On-site pregame coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m.
