NBA on TNT to Feature Preseason Doubleheader — Cavaliers at Celtics & Nuggets at Lakers — Tuesday, Oct. 2, Tipping Off at 8 p.m. ET

TNT’s NBA coverage will tip off Tuesday, Oct. 2, with a preseason doubleheader featuring the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James, in his anticipated STAPLES Center debut, hosting the Denver Nuggets and Paul Millsap at 10:30 p.m. Earlier in the night, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Kevin Love will visit the Boston Celtics and Kyrie Irving in a rematch of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals at 8 p.m. ET.

Marv Albert will provide play-by-play for Cavaliers/Celtics alongside analyst Chris Webber and reporter Ros Gold-Onwude. Kevin Harlan will call the Nuggets/Lakers game with analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Allie LaForce. Ernie Johnson will host studio coverage throughout the night along with Kevin McHale and Isiah Thomas.

TNT will tip off the 2018-19 NBA regular season with an Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 16, featuring the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder with Paul George at 10:30 p.m. In the night’s first game, the Philadelphia 76ers with Joel Embiid visit the Boston Celtics with Kyrie Irving at 8 p.m.

The night’s action will begin with a one-hour TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by Autotrader pre-game show at 7 p.m. Later that night, the network will also showcase Golden State’s ring ceremony prior to tip off of Thunder-Warriors.

James’ highly-anticipated regular season Lakers debut vs. the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard will be featured on the network’s continuing coverage of Autotrader Premiere Week on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 p.m.  The doubleheader will begin with the 76ers hosting the Chicago Bulls at 8 p.m.

Additionally, the Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA presented by Kia studio team will provide halftime and post-game coverage for Opening Week.
