NBA TV to Present Live Coverage of NBA Draft 2018 Presented by State Farm

with Player Evaluations, Roster Analysis & Post-Selection Interviews from Brooklyn

 

Network to Provide Expanded Lineup of NBA Draft Week Programming Including
The Starters, Draft HQ, Mock Draft, Future Stars & Next Steps

NBA TV Commentators to Include David Griffin, Isiah Thomas, Steve Smith, Seth Davis, Stu Jackson, Brendan Haywood, Andy Katz & Former First Overall Pick and Wake Forest Coach Danny Manning

 

NBA TV will present live coverage of NBA Draft 2018 presented by State Farm on Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m. ET, with pick-by-pick player evaluations throughout both rounds, roster analysis and offseason forecasts for all 30 teams, post-selection interviews and on-site production from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The network’s insightful panel of commentators in Brooklyn will include David Griffin, Steve Smith, Seth Davis and Bleacher Report “capologist” Eric Pincus, along with a series of NBA personalities visiting the set throughout the telecast. Casey Stern will host from Barclays Center, with Jared Greenberg reporting, and The Starters’ Trey Kerby serving as a social media correspondent. Ros Gold-Onwude will report from Phoenix, where the Suns possess the top pick, while Kristen Ledlow will be in Atlanta covering the Hawks.

Highlights include commercial-free coverage of the top 14 picks, along with feature segments for all 30 teams reflecting team needs, top all-time selections, and individual player vignettes, with highlights and analysis as picks are conveyed. Panel commentary will heavily focus on team building with an emphasis on roster construction – including free agency – along with long-term player forecasting and overall team outlook.

NBA TV Draft Preview & Review

NBA TV’s coverage on Thursday will tip off with a two-hour preview show at 5 p.m., including interviews and live reports from the Mtn Dew Kickstart Green Carpet in Brooklyn, and studio coverage in Atlanta led by host Matt Winer and commentators David Aldridge, Stu Jackson, Brendan Haywood, and former top overall NBA Draft pick and current Wake Forest basketball coach Danny Manning.

Following the network’s live coverage from Brooklyn, NBA Draft 2018 Review will recap the draft with news, analysis and reflections on the night’s biggest moments at midnight.

NBA TV Draft HQ 2018

NBA TV Draft HQ on Monday, June 18, at 9 p.m. will feature five of the 2018 NBA Draft’s leading prospects – DeAndre Ayton, Mohamed Bamba, Wendell Carter, Jr., Luka Doncic and Michael Porter, Jr. – joined by NBA TV analysts for interviews and on-court workouts. Rick Kamla will host, with studio analysis provided by Isiah Thomas and Greg Anthony.

The Starters 

J.E. Skeets, Tas Melas, Kerby and Leigh Ellis will recap the top moments from the 2018 NBA Draft on Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. 

Mock Draft

Mock Draft 2018 will simulate the first round complete with analysis of each proposed selection by David Griffin, Aldridge, Jackson, Andy Katz and Sekou Smith on Tuesday, June 19, at 8 p.m. The hour-long show – with all five analysts rotating to make picks on behalf of teams – will be hosted by Matt Winer.

NBA Draft: Future Stars

On the eve of the NBA Draft, NBA TV will present a range of interviews with prospective selections on hand in New York City for the event. Steve Smith and Greenberg will sit down with the players for the all-new special airing on Wednesday, June 20, at 9 p.m.

NBA Draft 2018: Next Steps

Mike Fratello, Sekou Smith, Jackson and Haywood will provide analysis for the network’s NBA Draft review show with Winer hosting the 90-minute recap on Friday, June 23, starting at 9 p.m.
