NBA TV to Provide Coverage of all Three Summer Leagues – Sacramento, Utah & Las Vegas – Featuring 50 Live Game Telecasts, July 1-13

Las Vegas to Begin with Five Games on Friday, July 5

NBA TV’s Summer League coverage – the first opportunity to see many of the NBA’s top rookies in action – will feature 50 live game telecasts in 13 days beginning Monday, July 1, on the heels of 11 daily hours of Free Agent Fever on Sunday, June 30, (beginning at 3 p.m. ET) and Monday (beginning at 8 a.m.).

The network’s schedule – including live game telecasts from all three Summer League locations – will feature the expected first look at many of the 2019 NBA Draft class.  Live game coverage on NBA TV will tip-off on July 1 with three games, including the Cleveland Cavaliers – who drafted Darius Garland with the No. 5 selection – facing the San Antonio Spurs and recently drafted Luka Samanic at 7 p.m.

Live event coverage will include 10 game telecasts from the Sacramento Kings’ California Classic Summer League and the 2019 Utah Jazz Summer League – five from each location – held from July 1-4. Golden 1 Center in Sacramento will host the California Classic Summer League, while the Utah Jazz Summer League games will be held at the team’s Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City.

The network will also present an all-time record 40 live game telecasts from the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019 in Las Vegas from July 5-13 – with many of the top selections from the 2019 NBA Draft expected to compete – at the Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion.

NBA TV’s coverage from Las Vegas will tip off with a five-game slate on July 5, including the event debut of the Croatian National Team – vs. the Detroit Pistons at 3 p.m. – as well as a 7 p.m. matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and No. 6 overall pick Jarrett Culver vs. the Dallas Mavericks.

The network’s on-site commentators in Las Vegas will include analysts Brendan Haywood, Caron Butler, Steve Smith, Isiah Thomas, Sam Mitchell and eight-time NBA All-Star Vince Carter, who will serve as a guest analyst for the network for the fourth straight year.  Matt Winer, Rick Kamla, Pete Pranica, Kristen Ledlow and Jared Greenberg will share play-by-play responsibilities. Allie LaForce, Dennis Scott, Stephanie Ready, Ro Parrish, Ledlow and Greenberg will serve as reporters.

The network’s signature studio show, NBA GameTime, will feature live episodes following each day’s last game of the night, July 5-15, focusing on the latest player moves and free agent buzz, plus game highlights and news from Summer League.  Casey Stern, Winer, Kamla and Chris Miles will rotate hosting duties, alongside analysts Wes Wilcox, Tony Delk, Rex Chapman and Antonio Daniels.

Sacramento & Utah Summer Leagues, July 1-3

NBA TV will feature back-to-back tripleheader days of live game action from Sacramento and Utah on Monday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2, followed by a four-game slate on Wednesday, July 3. The network’s coverage will include the Miami Heat with No. 13 pick Tyler Herro in Sacramento, plus the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers in Salt Lake City. Live game coverage will tip off at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Wednesday.

MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019 in Las Vegas

NBA TV will present the first game of the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2019 in Las Vegas with the Croatian National team – making their event debut – facing the Detroit Pistons and No. 15 pick Sekou Doumbouya in the first of five live game telecasts on Friday, July 5, starting at 3 p.m.  Additionally, the New Orleans Pelicans and No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson will take on the Chicago Bulls and fellow top-10 pick Coby White on Monday, July 8, at 9:30 p.m.  All 30 NBA teams will be in action in Las Vegas, providing fans the opportunity to see many of the league’s top young players, including this year’s top 10 picks Williamson, RJ Barrett, De’Andre Hunter, Jarrett Culver, White, Cam Reddish, Rui Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes.
