NBA TV to Televise 107 Games During 2020-21 Regular Season

First Half of the Network’s Live Game Schedule to Tip Off with Eight Games in Three Nights Featuring LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Luka Doncic & Joel Embiid

 

NBA TV’s MLK Jr. Day Doubleheader to Feature Magic at Knicks & Timberwolves at Hawks

NBA TV will televise 107 live games during the 2020-21 regular season with the league’s biggest stars in action, highlighted by eight compelling matchups in three nights to tip off the season, and a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day doubleheader.

 

The 2020-21 regular-season schedule is being released in two segments, starting with the initial half today, which includes NBA TV’s first 61 live game telecasts. The schedule for the second half of the season will be released at a later date.

 

The network will tip off its regular season coverage with a tripleheader on Saturday, Dec. 26, starting with the Memphis Grizzlies and last season’s Kia NBA Rookie of the Year Ja Morant hosting the Atlanta Hawks and Trae Young at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers and Joel Embiid visiting the New York Knicks and 2020 NBA first-round pick Obi Toppin at 7:30 p.m. The night’s coverage will conclude with a Western Conference showdown between the new-look Houston Rockets and James Harden visiting the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard at 10 p.m.

 

A second straight tripleheader – Sunday, Dec. 27 – will start with a star-studded matchup with the LA Clippers and Kawhi Leonard hosting the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic at 3:30 p.m. The night’s action will continue with the Brooklyn Nets and Kevin Durant visiting the Charlotte Hornets and Gordon Hayward at 7 p.m., followed by the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns at 9:30 p.m.

 

NBA TV’s first doubleheader of the season on Monday, Dec. 2, will wrap up eight games in three nights, with Grizzlies at Nets at 7:30 p.m., followed by Trail Blazers at Lakers at 10 p.m.

 

NBA TV will feature a special Martin Luther King, Jr. Day doubleheader on Monday, Jan. 18, with the Orlando Magic and Aaron Gordon visiting the Knicks and Toppin at noon, followed by the Hawks and Young hosting the Timberwolves and D’Angelo Russell at 2:30 p.m.

 

Additional game highlights include:

 

  • Wednesday, Dec. 30 – A pair of blockbuster conference showdowns will tip off with the Milwaukee Bucks and two-time Kia NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo visiting the Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Clippers and Leonard hosting the Trail Blazers and Lillard at 10 p.m.

 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 5 – The NBA Champion Lakers and James will visit the Grizzlies and rising star Morant at 8 p.m.

 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 12 – Former Kia NBA MVPs James and Harden will meet when the Lakers visit the Rockets at 8 p.m.

 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 19 – Two of the Western Conference’s top young teams will meet when the New Orleans Pelicans and Zion Williamson visit the Utah Jazz and Donovan Mitchell at 9 p.m.

 

  • Monday, Jan. 25 – NBA TV’s star-studded doubleheader will tip off with the Heat and Bam Adebayo visiting the Nets and Kyrie Irving at 7:30 p.m., followed by the Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry hosting the Timberwolves and Towns at 10:30 p.m.

 

  • Tuesday, Jan. 26 – The Washington Wizards will visit the Rockets at 8 p.m., marking the first time since the Russell Westbrook and John Wall trade that the two teams will meet.

 

  • Monday, Feb. 1 – Two star-driven Western Conference teams will meet when the Mavericks and Doncic visit the Phoenix Suns and Chris Paul at 8:30 p.m.

 

  • Sunday, Feb. 14 – The Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic will host the Lakers in a rematch of last year’s Western Conference Finals at 7:30 p.m.

 

  • Monday, Feb. 15 John Wall will make his return to Washington as the Wizards host the Rockets at 7 p.m. The night’s action will conclude with the Heat visiting the Clippers at 10 p.m.
