2022 Oscar-Nominated Documentary The Queen of Basketball to Make Television Premiere on NBA TV during NBA All-Star 2022 — Saturday, Feb. 19 at 1:30 p.m. ET 

NBA TV will be the destination for extensive coverage of NBA All-Star 2022, with live and original programming starting Thursday, Feb. 17. Wall-to-wall live programming from Cleveland will include All-Star practices and media availabilities throughout the weekend as the NBA celebrates its 75th Anniversary season, plus the latest news and analysis from a premier roster of commentators via the network’s signature studio show, NBA GameTime.



Two members of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team – Charles Barkley and Julius “Dr. J.” Erving – will be featured in Basketball Stories: “Sir Charles & The Doctor” on Monday, Feb. 21, at 8 p.m. ET. The hour-long one-on-one conversation with the two former Philadelphia 76ers teammates will include them discussing their time together in the City of Brotherly Love, top moments from their careers and more.

Music and basketball have long been intertwined. A new 90-minute special, Hoops & Harmony presented by Corona, will celebrate some of the most popular musical performers and their passion for basketball. Hosted by Ro Parrish, live from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, the show will air Friday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m.

The first-ever NBA HBCU Classic presented by AT&T will tip off on Saturday, Feb. 19 with a matchup between the Howard University and Morgan State University men’s basketball teams at Cleveland State’s Wolstein Center. Simulcast coverage of the MEAC matchup on NBA TV, TNT and ESPN2 will begin at 2 p.m. with host Stephanie Ready (Coppin State University alumna) and analysts Isiah Thomas and Stephen A. Smith (Winston-Salem State alumnus). Play-by-play announcer Brian Custer (Hampton University alumnus) will call the game alongside analyst Brendan Haywood with Taylor Rooks reporting.

Live game coverage from NBA All-Star 2022 will also include the NBA G League Next Gem Game featuring the hometown Cleveland Charge facing the NBA G League Ignite in a showcase of top up and coming talent on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. Ready will call the game with Haywood and Parrish.

NBA GameTime – The Destination for All-Star News, Highlights and Analysis

NBA TV’s signature studio show, NBA GameTime, will be live from Cleveland to provide the latest news and leading storylines daily throughout NBA All-Star 2022. On-site studio coverage will tip off Thursday, Feb. 17, from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at 6 p.m. Coverage will continue Friday, Feb. 18, at 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 19, at 10:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Feb. 20, with a 90-minute pregame show at 4:30 p.m. The network’s coverage will feature a rotation of top basketball analysts including Thomas, Grant Hill, Steve Smith and Dennis Scott. Hosts and reporters will include Kristen Ledlow, Matt Winer and Jared Greenberg.



Rising Stars Practice

NBA TV will have complete coverage of Friday’s 2022 Clorox Rising Stars practice from 10:30-noon, including commentators Reggie Miller, Steve Smith, Scott, Kevin Harlan and Winer, plus reporters Allie LaForce and Chris Haynes. 2021 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year LaMelo Ball, runner-up Anthony Edwards, along with leading rookies Cade Cunningham and Evan Mobley will be joined by young stars from the NBA G League Ignite team. Newly formatted for NBA All-Star 2022, there will be four teams led by NBA 75th Anniversary Team members Rick Barry, Thomas, Gary Payton and James Worthy serving as coaches.

The Queen of Basketball

The recently Oscar-nominated The Queen of Basketball documentary centers on the life story of basketball legend Lusia  "Lucy" Harris. A pioneer and generational talent, Harris led Mississippi’s Delta State University to three consecutive national championships before becoming the first woman to score a basket in the Olympics and the only woman to be officially drafted by an NBA team. Directed by two-time Oscar nominated Ben Proudfoot and executive produced by Shaquille O’Neal, the 22-minute short documentary will air on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 1:30 p.m., and again on Monday, Feb. 21, at 9 p.m. on NBA TV.

Hall of Fame Finalists Revealed

The network will have live coverage of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022 Finalists Announcement – with Winer and Thomas Friday, Feb. 18 at 5:30 p.m.



NBA All-Star Saturday

The network’s live programming from Cleveland will include exclusive NBA All-Star Practice presented by AT&T coverage on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m., along with media day coverage of Team LeBron and Team Durant. Leading up to Saturday night’s festivities, the network will present commissioner Adam Silver’s media availability live at 7 p.m.



Inside the NBA presented by Kia on Sunday

After TNT’s coverage of the 71st NBA All-Star Game presented by Kia culminates on Sunday, Feb. 20, fans can tune into NBA TV to catch Inside the NBA presented by Kia with Adam Lefkoe and Hill live from Cleveland.



NBA Legends Awards

NBA TV will also provide coverage of this year’s NBA Legends Awards on Sunday, Feb. 20, at noon.
