NBA TV’s Open Court Series to Return For 2018-19 Season with Initial Episodes Featuring Coaches & Executives, Beginning Friday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 p.m. ET

Open Court: Coaches – Including Steve Kerr, Mike D’Antoni, Tyronn Lue, Nate McMillan, Fred Hoiberg and Igor Kokoskov – to Debut Friday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 p.m.

Open Court: Executives – with Masai Ujiri, Mitch Kupchak, Kevin Pritchard, Ryan McDonough and Ed Stefanski – to Premiere Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m.

 

NBA TV’s critically-acclaimed roundtable discussion show Open Court will premiere two episodes in consecutive weeks – Friday, Sept. 28 and Thursday, Oct. 4 – as part of the network’s expansive programming lineup leading up to the 2018-19 NBA season. These latest editions of the popular Open Court series – hosted by Matt Winer – will feature head coaches and executives discussing a wide range of topics, including on-court trends, challenges they anticipate in the coming season and more.

The first show, Open Court: Coaches – debuting Friday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 p.m. ET – will cover team-building strategies, how coaches are maximizing the wealth of next-generation talent that continues to enter the league and the coach’s role in the community, among other subjects. The panel features:

·       Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors (three-time NBA Champion as a coach and former NBA Coach of the Year)

·       Mike D’Antoni of the Houston Rockets (two-time NBA Coach of the Year)

·       Tyronn Lue of the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016 NBA Champion as a coach)

·       Nate McMillan of the Indiana Pacers

·       Fred Hoiberg of the Chicago Bulls

·       Igor Kokoskov of the Phoenix Suns

NBA TV will continue the series with the premiere of Open Court: Executives, Thursday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. The episode will showcase a collection of executives discussing several topics including their changing roles, deal-making and how they approach free agency. It includes:

·       Masai Ujiri, President of the Toronto Raptors (former NBA Executive of the Year)

·       Mitch Kupchak, President of Basketball Operations and GM of the Charlotte Hornets (four-time NBA Champion as a GM)

·       Kevin Pritchard, President of Basketball Operations of the Indiana Pacers

·       Ryan McDonough, GM of the Phoenix Suns

·       Ed Stefanski, Senior Advisor to Owner of the Detroit Pistons
