NBA on TNT’s Playoff Coverage Opens with Quadrupleheader, Tue., 8/18
LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, James Harden, Damian Lillard and Jimmy Butler Scheduled to be in Action Tomorrow
TNT to Televise More 2020 NBA Playoff Games Than Any Network, Including Exclusive Coverage of 2020 Western Conference Finals Presented by AT&T 5G
TNT – home to more NBA Playoff games than any network – will tip off its First Round coverage with four game telecasts tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 18, starting with the East’s No. 1 seed, the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, taking on the Orlando Magic and Aaron Gordon at 1:30 p.m. ET. Joel Meyers will be joined by analyst Greg Anthony and reporter Jared Greenberg to call the action.
The Miami Heat and Jimmy Butler will then face the Indiana Pacers and All-Seeding Games First Team selection T.J. Warren at 4 p.m., with Bob Fitzgerald, Jim Jackson and Stephanie Ready providing commentary.
A huge Western Conference matchup will follow when the Houston Rockets and James Harden meet the Oklahoma City Thunder and Chris Paul at 6:30 p.m., with Spero Dedes, Stan Van Gundy and Rebecca Haarlow on the call.
Tuesday’s nightcap will feature the No. 1 seed in the West, the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James, vs. the Portland Trail Blazers and NBA Player of the Seeding Games Damian Lillard at 9 p.m. Play-by-play announcer Brian Anderson, analyst Chris Webber and Greenberg will provide commentary for Lakers/Blazers.
TNT’s NBA Playoffs coverage will feature the Sports Emmy Award-winning studio team of host Ernie Johnson alongside Hall of Famers Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal and two-time NBA Champion Kenny Smith providing analysis during the TNT NBA Tip-Off Presented by Autotrader pregame show and the American Express Halftime Report, with extensive Inside the NBA presented by Kia postgame commentary.
TNT will televise up to 29 First Round games presented by Rocket Mortgage, along with the Conference Semifinals, and exclusive coverage of the 2020 NBA Western Conference Finals presented by AT&T 5G.
