TNT to Tip Off NBA Season with NBA Champion Denver Nuggets with Nikola Jokic & Jamal Murray Hosting the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James & Anthony Davis on Tuesday, Oct. 24

NBA on TNT will tip off the company’s 40^th consecutive year of NBA coverage with some of the biggest stars and rivalries in basketball, starting with the NBA Champion Denver Nuggets with Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray hosting the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. ET.



Later at 10 p.m., TNT’s exclusive Opening Night doubleheader will culminate with a pair of new-look Western Conference teams battling as the Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Chris Paul host the Phoenix Suns led by Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.



This will mark the 28^th straight year in which TNT has tipped off the NBA regular season. All NBA on TNT games, as well as pre and postgame coverage, will be available to stream via the B/R Sports Add-On tier on Max.  



2023 Kia NBA Tip-Off Opening Week coverage will continue with the Milwaukee Bucks with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard — in his team debut following a blockbuster off-season trade — hosting the Philadelphia 76ers with last season’s Kia NBA MVP Joel Embiid and James Harden on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7:30 p.m. The Suns and Durant visiting the Lakers and James will be the night's second game at 10 p.m.



Tuesday's pregame coverage, led by the Sports Emmy Award-winning studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith, will feature an expanded 90-minute TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by CarMax pregame. The Inside the NBA presented by Kia team will be live from the NBA on TNT American Express Road Show in Denver throughout the night beginning at 6 p.m. 



Along with the Nuggets' ring ceremony and banner-raise prior to tip off, pregame coverage will also include a special celebrating 50 years of hip hop, reflecting on the evolution of hip hop and its connection to basketball. Stars such as James, Spike Lee, Lil Wayne, Curry, Grandmaster Flash, Big Boi, Carmelo Anthony and Kurtis Blow will discuss how the NBA and hip hop have been intertwined through the past half century. 



TNT's coverage on Tuesday night will also feature musical performances by the GRAMMY award-winning duo The Chainsmokers and acclaimed singer and songwriter Dermot Kennedy from the NBA on TNT American Express Roadshow Stage. 



Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst), and Allie LaForce (reporter) will call Tuesday's Lakers/Nuggets game, followed by Ian Eagle (play-by-play) Stan Van Gundy (analyst) and Chris Haynes (reporter) for Suns/Warriors. Two nights later, Brian Anderson (play-by-play) will join Van Gundy and Haynes for 76ers/Bucks, with Candace Parker joining Harlan, Miller and Jared Greenberg for Suns/Lakers on Thursday. 



NBA on TNT will feature a 65-game schedule during the 2023-24 NBA regular season, including showcasing the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament throughout November, Martin Luther King Jr. Day coverage on Monday, Jan. 15, NBA Rivals Week doubleheaders on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and Thursday, Jan. 25, exclusive coverage of 2024 NBA All-Star in Indianapolis, along with the most NBA Playoff games of any network, culminating with the exclusive presentation of the 2024 NBA Western Conference Finals.
