Turner Sports’ PGA Championship Coverage Tees Off Thursday, August 10, with Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Rickie Fowler & Defending Champion Jimmy Walker in Action

PGA Championship LIVE’s Thursday “Featured Groups” Tee Off with Golf’s First Three Major Winners of 2017, Spieth, Garcia & Koepka, at 8:25 a.m.; Day, Dustin Johnson & Henrik Stenson Scheduled to Start at 8:35 a.m.

TNT’s comprehensive coverage of the 99th PGA Championship, held Thursday-Sunday, August 10-13, at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, will feature Jordan Spieth’s pursuit of a career Grand Slam, along with many other highly-anticipated golfers in action when the network’s telecast starts Thursday, August 10, at 1 p.m. ET.

Thursday’s opening round coverage – televised exclusively on TNT – will include past PGA Championship winners Phil Mickelson (2005), Jimmy Walker (2016) and Jason Dufner (2013), and the pairing of four-time Major winner Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler and Jon Rahm. The two groups are scheduled to tee off at 1:25 p.m. and 1:35 p.m., respectively.

This marks the 27th consecutive year of Turner Sports' coverage of the PGA Championship and TNT's 19th straight year televising the event. TNT commentators will include Sports Emmy Award winner Ernie Johnson and fellow host Brian Anderson, analysts Ian Baker-Finch and Billy Kratzert, with Amanda Balionis providing pre- and post-round interviews. Former Masters Champion Trevor Immelman has been added as a new on-course analyst for this year’s coverage.

The PGA Championship suite of digital products, managed by Turner Sports, have been redesigned for 2017 to offer extensive digital video coverage of the event including live streaming via PGA Championship LIVE. The Sports Emmy Award-winning video experience – available via PGA.com and the PGA Championship Apps for iOS, Android and the Roku platforms – will showcase the event’s top players via its “Featured Group” channels.

Thursday’s “Featured Groups” will tee off with golf’s three Major winners this year – Sergio Garcia (Masters Tournament), Brooks Koepka (U.S. Open) and Spieth (The Open Championship) at 8:25 a.m., followed by 2015 PGA Championship winner Jason Day, 2016 U.S. Open champion Dustin Johnson and 2016 Open champion Henrik Stenson at 8:35 a.m.

The afternoon’s “Featured Group” coverage will follow all 18 holes of Mickelson, Walker and Dufner starting at 1:25 p.m., followed by McIlroy, Fowler and Rahm at 1:35 p.m.

Anderson and Brian Katrek will anchor PGA Championship LIVE’s coverage alongside analysts Kratzert and Michael Breed, with Shane O’Donoghue and Katrek serving as a course reporters. Daily coverage will also include media room interviews.

Special for this year’s event, PGA Championship LIVE will debut dedicated live video coverage of “The Green Mile” – Quail Hollow’s trying three-hole finishing stretch – Thursday/Friday, Aug. 10-11, from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday, Aug. 12-13, from 1-7 p.m. Fans will be able to view a simulcast of the television coverage via PGA.com with TNT’s coverage requiring viewers to log in with their user name and password given to them by their TV service provider.

Coverage will extend to social where fans can follow along and see a variety of distinctive social content from the course and off the course across PGA.com’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts.
