Episode 1

This week, the smallest and largest of Wood Green’s residents are looking to impress new owners. A Newfoundland makes a favorable first impression on South Wales’ Coxon family, but staff are worried that his habit of showering everyone with a spray of slobber may take some of the gloss off. A 9-week-old French bulldog Kevin competes with a nervous terrier to win the hearts of couple Ryan and Katie. Meanwhile, a recently widowed grandmother is looking for “a beating heart” to help fill a home that is now feeling very empty.

Episode 2

This week we see the arrival of Rocco the cheeky Jack Russell looking for a new home after his loving owner’s health took a turn for the worse. Will he bring a bit of fun to Charnelle and Holly, and convince their son 7-year-old Reay that he’s better than a French bulldog? Fur flies in the pen as couple Karen and Stefano meet two of Wood Green’s biggest and hairiest residents husky brother and sister Olli and Kalli. Meanwhile, Jess is looking for unconditional love after a recent breakup and the team hopes that gentle Staffordshire bull terrier Gloria might be the best buddy she needs.

Episode 3

This week 9-year-old Rohan arrives at Wood Green having done all his research and with a long wish list. The staff hope that Patterdale terrier puppy Friday will meet his requirements, but her enthusiasm might be too much for this first-time dog owner. Rocco the Jack Russell has been struggling to find a home. However, his bouncy exuberance and love of a good face lick means he could be the perfect match for Zach who is looking for a dog unfazed by his Tourette’s. Grant the stray westie has seen some tough times but his luck might be about to change with an introduction to understanding couple Casper and Sid – just as long as he can pluck up enough courage to say hello.

 

Episode 4

This week, 11-year-old Pharaoh is thrilled to meet his dream dog Gizmo the pug, but staff are worried his excitement might send breathless Gizmo into a panic. Can he contain his emotions enough to take home a new little brother? After the loss of her previous dog, Charley is wondering if she can love again. Cue Sonia the young lurcher, recovering from her own struggles after she was found abandoned with a broken leg. And it’s the third meet for Rocco the ever-optimistic Jack Russell. This time he’s matched with the adventurous Job family who are looking for a dog who can keep up with them. 

Episode 5

This week sees some of Wood Green’s most mischievous dogs looking for a home. The Fullagar family get more than they bargained for when they are introduced to father and daughter Pepe and Tink, who can’t be separated. Are they prepared to take two dogs home? Meanwhile, Louise and Angela from South London are conflicted when Trinity a 5-month-old lurcher puppy shows off both her adorable side and an impressive ability to chew everything from furniture to shoes. And Bertie, the abandoned schnauzer puppy who was born with a disability, meets best friends Harriet and David. Will his adorable wobbly walk melt their hearts and convince them to take him home?

Episode 6

This week it’s Dave the three-legged Labrador who is looking for a new best friend – trouble is he’s rather picky when it comes to other canines. His owners Laura and Paul hope Luna, the beautiful but nervous Saluki, will win him over. Enthusiastic setter-poodle pup Obi could bring just the joy and chaos ex-military Mike and his partner Tracey don’t yet know they need. Meanwhile, 9-year-old stray Westie Norman is getting attention from mother and son Lorraine and Oliver.

 

Episode 7

This week, 18-year-old Jasmine is hunting for a dog to replace her twin sister Shola who’s leaving her to start university. Her family thinks that pedigree beagle Zoe will make the perfect new sibling, but Jasmine isn’t so sure. Meanwhile Jim the poodle is turning out to be a complete cuddle bug despite being rescued from a cage. Staff hope he’s the perfect match for 12-year-old Lexi who is looking for a bedtime buddy. And God works in mysterious ways as Poppy, a very unusual cross of lurcher and old English sheepdog helps young priest Father Miles find his inner silliness.

 

Episode 8

This week gold-winning Olympian cyclist Victoria Pendleton visits Wood Green to find a dog she can co-parent with her mum. It will take a special owner to take on Leilo the Rhodesian Ridgeback with her long-term medical needs – but could Victoria be the person she’s been waiting for? Meanwhile lovebirds Shai and Orin’s first meeting with Polo the lurcher comes to an abrupt end as he makes a dash for it. It’s up to the staff to find them a second date. And Zoe the beagle is still looking for a home. This time she’s meeting the Forristal family who hope they’ll find a dog to suit all five of them. Zoe seems like the perfect match but they’re all going to have to agree.

Episode 9

This week we catch up with Zoe the friendly beagle who has been trying to sniff out a new home for a while. Will yoga teacher Venessa and son Jacob fall for her charms? Stanley the anxious Staffie meets dog-mad Linda and Richard. Will he be able to get over his worries and make friends in the pen? Married couple Dexter and Aaron are looking for a fluffy, chunky dog. Ellie the chihuahua will have to prove that being neither fluffy or chunky isn’t a problem when it comes to being their perfect match.
