Warner Bros. Discovery UK commissions 149 hours of new and returning lifestyle shows

  • Four brand-new commissions; The Big Body Clinic, Derelict Rescue, The Edinburgh Auction House and My Dream Derelict Home In The Sun, confirmed for Warner Bros. Discovery UK linear channels, HGTV, Quest Red and Really
  • Six fan-favourites return to screens with new seasons of The Bad Skin Clinic, The Yorkshire Auction House, The Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House, Charlotte Church's Dream Build, Helicopter ER and Cornwall Air 999

Warner Bros. Discovery UK commissioned a host of new and returning linear shows in the UK that will also be available on discovery+.

The Big Body Clinic is a brand-new 8x60 series produced by Full Fat TV, which will launch on Quest Red next spring. In the series, 'weight inclusive' experts help treat patients in larger bodies who are often scared to seek help because of the weight stigma they've faced. Also from Full Fat TV, The Bad Skin Clinic returns to Quest Red in Q1 of 2023 with seasons 5 and 6 (20x60) of the hit medical series following people whose lives have been blighted by uncontrollable and often agonising skin conditions.

In 2023, Really will also welcome back one of the biggest shows on the channel, STV Studios-produced The Yorkshire Auction House for a third and fourth season. Building on the success of the series, the two new 20x60 series will see auctioneer Angus Ashworth travel the country helping clear homes of fascinating and unusual items. A second and third season of The Yorkshire Auction House celebrity spin-off will air on Really in November this year. The two 5x60 series will follow celebrities, including Anneka Rice, Sid Owen and Jennie Bond, as they give Angus access to their homes in desperate need of decluttering. Also from STV is a brand-new 8x60 series, The Edinburgh Auction House which will air on Really in 2023 and follows 5th generation auctioneer, Sybelle Thomson, working from her three different auction houses, helping people clear out their homes, sifting through lifetime's worth of personal possessions, and secure the best profit from them at auction.

Landing on Really this October, viewers can look forward to the second season of Koska-produced Charlotte Church's Dream Build.  Back on screens, attempting to complete her renovation and overhaul derelict Rhydoldog House, in the rolling Welsh hills, into a wellness centre and healing retreat, the Welsh music icon giving viewers unprecedented access to her life and family as she attempts to finish the biggest and riskiest project she's ever undertaken. The 8x60 renovation series will follow the challenges and triumphs and includes plenty of the Welsh singer's trademark character, charm and down-to-earth humour.

Two further seasons of Helicopter ER produced by Air TV will land on Really in 2022 and 2023. New episodes will keep viewers on the edge of their seat as the Yorkshire Air Ambulance team saves patients from life-threatening emergencies. The 14x60 season 8 and the 15x60 season 9 will provide exclusive access and intense insight into their most dramatic helicopter rescues.

For those fascinated by rescue stories, Beagle Media-produced Cornwall Air 999 is also back for a second ten-part season, following the critical care medics from one of the UK's busiest air ambulance services as they respond to life and death emergencies across the beautiful county of Cornwall. The series will air on Really in early 2023.

Home renovation enthusiasts can look forward to the True North-produced HGTV series, My Dream Derelict Home In The Sun premiering later this year and Air TV-produced Derelict Rescue dropping next year. Derelict Rescue is a 10x60 series that follows some of Britain's most ambitious home builders, taking on the country's most rundown and unusual buildings, from a water tower and airport control tower, to an abandoned railway station, to an old schoolhouse. Meanwhile, My Dream Derelict Home In The Sun (16x60), features property expert Scarlette Douglas, as she follows the bravest, boldest Brits buying derelict properties in some of the most beautiful parts of France and Spain, and attempting to turn them into their dream homes, not for the faint-hearted and not least when facing the extra challenges of Brexit and the pandemic.

Clare Laycock, SVP Planning & Insights, Head of Entertainment, Warner Bros. Discovery UK, said, "We're really excited to expand our lifestyle portfolio with this bumper 149-hour order bringing a host of new commissions including The Big Body Clinic, Derelict Rescue, The Edinburgh Auction House as well as recommissions for some of our most popular shows with more seasons of The Yorkshire Auction House and The Bad Skin Clinic. Lifestyle entertainment is one of our key genres, with highly engaged, passionate audiences and we're delighted to commission more linear shows for this loyal fanbase."

The series were ordered by Clare Laycock and commissioned by Charlotte Reid. The executive producers for Warner Bros Discovery are Matt Reid, Romy Page and Louise Brown.
