Sam Linsky serves as Associate General Manager and Senior Vice President of Scripted Original programming for TNT, TBS and truTV. In this role, Linsky is responsible for overseeing development and production on the linear networks’ scripted original programs alongside Adrienne O’Riain, also Senior Vice President of Scripted Original Programming, TNT, TBS & truTV.

Based in Los Angeles, Linsky reports to Brett Weitz, General Manager for TBS, TNT and truTV, where as Associate General Manager he works closely with Weitz on the strategy and execution of long-term plans centered around the networks’ evolution, as well as with internal teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, including finance and strategic planning.  

Linsky’s scripted slate includes edgy comedies with broad appeal for TBS, such as the #1 new scripted comedy series on cable: Chad. Chad, renewed for season two which will premiere in 2022, is a coming-of-age high school comedy from SNL alum Nasim Pedrad. Also on his slate for TBS is Miracle Workers starring Daniel Radcliffe and Steve Buscemi, The Last O.G. starring Tracy Morgan, and the recently announced pickup of the comedic pilot Kill the Orange-Faced Bear starring Damon Wayans Jr. At TNT, he spearheads top dramas Claws and Animal Kingdom, and high adrenaline, edge-of-your-seat, ratings hit, tentpoles such as Snowpiercer, a postapocalyptic thriller starring Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connelly. Snowpiercer season three premieres in January 2022 and is already renewed for a fourth season. On truTV, Linsky is behind laugh-out-loud, audacious series such as Tacoma FD, which has seen growth in viewership season-to-season and just premiered season 3 on November 3. 

Linsky also manages the partnership with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) for WarnerMedia. AEW: Dynamite, the fan-favorite wrestling series that debuted in 2019, is TNT’s #1 original program and the #1 wrestling show on Wednesday nights. To build off the franchise’s success, TNT created AEW: Rampage, currently the #1 new unscripted series on cable.

Linsky celebrated his 25th anniversary with WarnerMedia in 2020, having held various executive positions across Original Programming during his tenure. His successful track record includes overseeing Emmy® Award-winning series Southland and The Closer, Peabody Award winner Men of a Certain Age, and recent ratings powerhouses Snowpiercer, AEW: Dynamite and Angel of Darkness, the sequel to the Emmy® Award-winning Alienist. Linsky’s roster also includes The Last Ship, Major Crimes, American Dad!, King of the Nerds, and Cougar Town.

Linsky joined Turner Broadcasting in 1997, first serving as assistant to the Vice President of Original Programming for TNT, and then working his way up at the network. He came to TNT from Castle Rock Entertainment, where he served as assistant to the vice president of production. He holds a bachelor's degree in government from Harvard College.
