

HBO SPORTS EARNS 5 SPORTS EMMY® AWARDS
What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali (Part I) Earns Outstanding Long Sports Documentary Award
NEW YORK, N.Y., August 12, 2020 – HBO Sports was the recipient of five awards during the 41st Annual Sports Emmy Awards®, which were announced tonight virtually, highlighted by its ninth Sports Emmy Award® for Outstanding Long Sports Documentary for What’s My Name | Muhammad Ali (Part 1).
HBO Sports’ landmark franchise 24/7, which launched in 2007, captured three awards, including Outstanding Edited Sports Special or Series for 24/7: Kelly Slater. In total, the franchise has now captured 21 Sports Emmy Awards®.
Any One of Us, the documentary chronicling pro-mountain biker Paul Basagoitia’s life-changing journey to recovery after suffering a spinal cord injury, received the award for Outstanding Editing – Long Form.
