This October, the All-New Series “The Friday the 13th Murders” Premieres on ID Alongside New Seasons of “The Real Murders on Elm Street,” “Mother, May I Murder,” and “American Monster”

Investigation Discovery (ID) proudly presents the fourth year of its impactful NO EXCUSE FOR ABUSE campaign in alignment with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Announcing a new collaboration with the nation’s only 24/7 hotline for those impacted by relationship abuse, the National Domestic Violence Hotline (The Hotline), and through a continued partnership with the global awareness and prevention nonprofit NO MORE, this campaign underscores ID’s unwavering commitment to shedding light on the multifaceted and complex dynamics of intimate partner violence with resources and programming initiatives. Anchoring the month is an in-depth exploration of the issue by revisiting one of the most terrifying chapters in history through the lens of survival and resilience with the premiere of HUNTED BY MY HUSBAND: THE UNTOLD STORY OF THE DC SNIPER, premiering on Tuesday, October 28 from 9-11pm ET/PT.   

 

Week of September 28, 2025 

Wednesday, October 1 

  • “The Real Murders on Elm Street” New Season Debuts on ID – 9pm ET/PT 
    • A house on Elm Street goes up in flames. Inside, firefighters discover two bodies impaled with swords. Police quickly identify the male victim, but the female victim remains a mystery. Police race the clock to catch the killer before they strike again. In the season premiere episode, Someone’s Watching Her, after a 20-year-old vanishes in Toledo, Ohio a cryptic message lures the detective investigating her case to the city’s Elm Street – where in a decaying warehouse, the authorities discover signs of a twisted obsession. 
  • “The Friday the 13th Murders” New Series Debuts on ID – 10pm ET/PT 
    • This chilling six-part true crime series explores real killings that unfold on or around the infamous date. Each episode unravels a haunting case, revealing how Friday the 13th transforms from superstition into a real-life horror story. In the series premiere, Obsession To Do Evil, a teen obsessed with Satan and serial killers terrorizes a small Texas town in a night-long rampage that leaves the community forever changed and scarred.

Tuesday, October 14 

  • “Mother, May I Murder” New Season Debuts on ID – 9pm ET/PT 
    • Terrifying true stories of mothers and their children when nature's strongest bond morphs into conspiracy, manipulation and murder. Acts of greed, revenge and cruelty leave trails of torment and destruction across America. In the premiere episode, Sex, Lives and Murder, a shooter kills a young mom in her own home, and they leave her body locked in a sexual pose. Investigators suspect someone tries to shame her even in death, and as they dig deeper, they uncover intense family tensions with dark motives. 

 

Week of October 26, 2025 

Tuesday, October 28 

  • “American Monster” New Season Debuts on ID – 8pm ET/PT 
    • Monsters can be found lurking behind any innocent smile and on any street corner in America. Never-before-seen-video footage stares straight into the eyes of these killers who hide in plain sight. The most wholesome people imaginable could be hiding a sinister secret, but when it's revealed, murder is the result. In the premiere episode, Control Freak, Tricia and Galen Westfall appear to be the perfect couple. However, the reality is that Galen is jealous and controlling. When investigators find two bodies in a car crash, they uncover the grizzly truth about a deadly relationship. 
  • “Hunted By My Husband: The Untold Story of the DC Sniper” New Documentary Special Debuts on ID – 9pm ET/PT  
    • In the tentpole documentary during ID’s annual No Excuse for Abuse campaign, HUNTED BY MY HUSBAND reveals the story of the DC Sniper and places Mildred Muhammad — the ex-wife of convicted DC Sniper John Muhammad — at the center of the narrative. Her testimony reveals the chilling reality that the violence that gripped the D.C. area in 2002 was not a series of random killings, but part of a calculated plan rooted in manipulation, control, and domestic abuse driven by a single, dark obsession: John's relentless desire to murder his ex-wife. The documentary reveals the harrowing torment Mildred endured, and the lengths to which her abuser would go to reclaim control over her, even at the cost of innocent lives.
