With twelve new episodes, which will begin airing in January 2026, the series will continue to examine true crime cases from across the country utilizing original and new reporting from PEOPLE’s award-winning true crime team, including exclusive interviews and those impacted by the case, to reveal the hidden secrets, shocking betrayals, and unexpected twists, and to continue shining light on the lives that were changed. PEOPLE MAGAZINE INVESTIGATES premieres Monday, January 12 at 9/8c on ID, with new episodes airing weekly. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on HBO Max.
The new season of PEOPLE MAGAZINE INVESTIGATES will continue to take a closer look at true crime stories that made headlines across the country, including a brutal slaying of a celebrity hairstylist, a house fire revealing a murder, a 54-year-old man found dead in a bondage-style setup inside his secret sex den, a high-school romance turned deadly, and other chilling cases. In the premiere episode, Vanished in the Heartland, airing on Monday, January 12 at 9/8c, questions and accusations fly after savvy entrepreneur and mother of five, 52-year-old Dee Warner, vanishes from her rural Michigan home. Authorities struggle for answers, until one day they find her body, closer to home than anyone could have imagined.
