All-Star Saturday Night Participants Announced During

Special One-Hour Pregame Show, Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m.

 

TNT’s NBA coverage will return tonight, Monday, Jan. 30, with one of the league’s top scorers in action – Boston Celtics and All-Star Isaiah Thomas vs. Detroit Pistons and Andre Drummond at 8 p.m. ETKevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Kevin McHale (analyst) will call the action with reporter Kristen Ledlow.  The night’s second game will see a matchup of dynamic Western Conference guards – Memphis Grizzlies and Mike Conley vs. Phoenix Suns and Eric Bledsoe at 10:30 p.m.  Grizzlies/Suns will be called by Brian Anderson with analysts Reggie Miller and Brent Barry with reporter Jaime Maggio.

 

The network’s doubleheader schedule will continue later this week on Thursday, Feb. 2, with two blockbuster matchups beginning at 8 p.m.  In the night’s opening game, Dwight Howard will return to Houston for the first time – where he spent three seasons – when the Atlanta Hawks visit the Houston Rockets and All-Star starter James HardenHarlan will call play-by-play, joined by Miller and reporter David Aldridge.

 

In the nightcap, Western Conference contenders will clash when the Golden State Warriors and All-Star starters Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant meet the LA Clippers with All-Star DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin at 10:30 p.m.  Marv Albert, analyst Chris Webber and reporter Lewis Johnson will call the action.

 

A special one-hour pregame show to announce the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night event participants – the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Three-Point Contest and Verizon Slam Dunk – will precede game coverage on Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m.

 

Next week’s regular NBA coverage begin Monday, Feb. 6, with the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers vs. red-hot Washington Wizards at 7 p.m., followed by San Antonio Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies at 9:30 p.m.

 

TNT’s studio coverage, anchored by Ernie Johnson with analysts Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal, will provide pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage throughout the evening each night.  Kevin Garnett will be joined by a special guest in Area 21 throughout the night on Thursday.
