TNT Sports Announces Commentators for 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO, Second Round through Sunday, May 12
NHL on TNT Face Off presented by Verizon Pregame Coverage to Start Thursday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV & Max, followed by NY Rangers vs. Hurricanes, Game 3 at 7 p.m., & Avalanche vs. Stars, Game 2 at 9:30 p.m.
TNT Sports’ 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage will continue with up to 14 Second Round games beginning with a doubleheader on Thursday, May 9. The action starts with Game 3 of the New York Rangers vs. Carolina Hurricanes series at 7 p.m. ET on TNT, truTV and Max’s B/R Sports Add-On. Kenny Albert will call the action with commentary from Brian Boucher and Jody Shelley.
Following NY Rangers/Hurricanes will be Game 2 of the Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars at 9:30 p.m., also on TNT, truTV and Max. John Forslund will be on the call, with commentary from Eddie Olczyk and Kathryn Tappen.
TNT, truTV and Max will also host a doubleheader on Friday, May 10, featuring Game 3 of the Florida Panthers traveling to take on the Boston Bruins at 7 p.m. and Game 2 of the Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks. Brendan Burke, Darren Pang and Jackie Redmond will call Panthers/Bruins; Alex Faust, Jennifer Botterill and Nabil Karim will provide commentary for Oilers/Canucks.
Live game coverage throughout the postseason will be preceded by a 30-minute NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon pregame hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside a rotating collection of esteemed analysts including hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, Vezina Trophy winner and 2023 Hockey Hall of Famer Henrik Lundqvist, 10-year NHL veteran Anson Carter, Calder Cup Champion Paul Bissonnette, among other special guests.
The studio team will also provide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report, and the NHL on TNT Post Game Show.
TNT Sports’ networks and platforms will televise up to 49 games during the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs with expansive digital content and highlights from Bleacher Report, House of Highlights and B/R Open Ice all postseason long.
