Continuing record-breaking viewership across its sports portfolio, TNT Sports today announced that its first full month of MLB regular season coverage is off to its best overall start in more than a decade (2015) and the best ever start for TNT Sports’ Tuesday night package.

The Yankees/Mariners season opener on March 31 delivered the most watched Opening Tuesday game on TBS since the new package debuted in 2022, up 14% vs. 2025. The matchup between 2025 Home Run Champ Cal Raleigh and 2024 MLB home run leader Aaron Judge drew 562,000 viewers and peaked at 735,000, making it the most watched opener on TBS since 2012.

This was followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. the Toronto Blue Jays averaging 708,000 viewers on April 7, TNT Sports’ most-watched regular season game since 2022 (9/27/22, NYY/TOR, 787,000 average viewers during Aaron Judge’s AL home run record chase).

Overall, TNT Sports’ coverage of the 2026 MLB regular season is averaging 528,000 viewers across TBS, truTV and HBO Max through its first five games, up 68% vs. 2025. Additionally, Women 2+ viewership is up 89% vs. 2025, helping to drive overall viewership growth.

Coverage continues Tuesday, May 12, with a showdown between the top two teams in the National League as Matt Olson and the Atlanta Braves host Moisés Ballesteros and the Chicago Cubs at 7 p.m. ET. Brian Anderson and Jeff Francoeur will call the action from Truist Park, with MLB Leadoff setting the stage at 6:30 p.m. featuring host Lauren Shehadi alongside analysts Pedro Martinez, Jimmy Rollins and Curtis Granderson.
