Turner’s TV Everywhere Platforms Up 102% During 2017 MLB Postseason

TBS’s exclusive coverage of the 2017 National League Division Series (NLDS) presented by T-Mobile – the Chicago Cubs vs. Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Los Angeles Dodgers – averaged 3.7 million total viewers, an increase of 29% over last year’s LDS on the network. The NLDS and MLB Postseason to date has driven significant audience increases across all Turner platforms including:

NLDS on TBS Scores Double-Digit Increases Across All Key Demos
TBS’s 2017 NLDS coverage garnered 28% growth among People 18-49 and increases of 27% in People 25-54 and 12% in Men 18-34.

Thursday’s NLDS Game 5 – Cubs vs. Nationals – Generates 7 Million Viewers
Last night’s decisive NLDS Game 5 on TBS averaged seven million total viewers and ranked as the top-rated program of the day across all of cable television.  The telecast peaked with an average of 9.2 million viewers from 10-10:15 p.m. ET.

NLDS Game 5 Sets New Record in Chicago
Locally, the NLDS Game 5 telecast generated a 22.9 HH rating in Chicago, the highest-rated LDS game on cable ever in the market. In Washington, the game posted a 14.0 HH rating, the second highest rated Nationals game ever locally.

Turner’s TV Everywhere Consumption Up 102%
Live streaming coverage of the 2017 MLB Postseason across Turner’s TV Everywhere platforms has averaged 6.2 million minutes of consumption through the NLDS, up 102% over last year.

Social Impressions via Bleacher Report’s MLB Twitter Account Up 19%
Bleacher Report’s MLB Twitter account has generated 15.5 million impressions on TBS’s MLB Postseason game days, an increase of 19% over the same time period in 2016.

TBS’s exclusive coverage of the 2017 National League Championship Series (NLCS) presented by Camping World will begin tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 14, with Game 1 between the Cubs and Dodgers at 8 p.m. ET.  Pregame coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m.
