TNT Sports will tip off the college basketball season on Monday, November 3 with a matchup pitting Villanova against BYU — featuring consensus No. 1 incoming recruit A.J. TNT Sports’ regular season BIG EAST men’s basketball schedule will feature 40 appearances by St. John’s, UConn, Creighton, Xavier, and Marquette, programs that each clinched berths in last season's NCAA Men's Tournament.

The defending BIG EAST champion St. John’s — with the addition of top-flight transfer Ian Jackson — will have nine appearances including a Saturday, December 13, Noon ET showdown against Iona, Coach Rick Pitino’s former team, at Madison Square Garden. Highlights of the Red Storm’s schedule across TNT Sports also includes road matchups against Xavier on Saturday, January 24 — the first matchup of the season between head coaches Richard and Rick Pitino — and Marquette on Wednesday, February 18.

Creighton, last season’s BIG EAST Conference tournament runner-up, will have seven appearances on TNT Sports’ networks, most notably facing off against Marquette on Tuesday, January 27, and a late-season matchup against UConn on Wednesday, February 18 at 9 p.m.

Along with their BIG EAST conference schedule, St. John’s and Creighton will also take part in the Players Era Men’s Championship, airing exclusively on TNT Sports networks and platforms during Thanksgiving Week (November 24-27).

UConn’s retooled roster — featuring top recruit in freshman guard Braylon Mullins — will have seven appearances, including a Wednesday, February 11 game against Butler at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse, a homecoming for the Indiana-native Mullins.

Kim English’s Providence squad will have 10 appearances on TNT Sports this season and will look to make some noise following the additions of transfers Jason Edwards and Jaylin Sellers. They’ll be put to the test with road matchups against UConn on Tuesday, January 27 and Creighton on Saturday, February 28, along with home games against St. John’s on Saturday, February 14 and Xavier on Tuesday, February 24.

Additional highlights of TNT Sports’ schedule include Xavier making 10 appearances, Butler making 9 appearances, Villanova making 8 appearances, Marquette, DePaul, and Georgetown making 7 appearances each, and Seton Hall making five appearances.

Additional information about TNT Sports’ coverage of BIG EAST men’s and women’s basketball will be announced in the lead up to the inaugural season.

In 2024, TNT Sports and the BIG EAST Conference announced a new media rights agreement, further bolstering TNT Sports’ expanding college basketball coverage, which also includes the Hall of Fame Las Vegas season tip-off event, the Players Era Men’s and Women’s Championships, Big 12 basketball, and exclusive coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV, which is co-produced with CBS Sports.
