Warner Bros. Discovery Sports will enter its third season of live NHL on TNT coverage with a 62-game regular season schedule, starting with the highly anticipated TNT debut of rookie Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks as part of a marquee opening week doubleheader on Wednesday, Oct. 11. Additional highlights include the 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic on New Year’s Day, regular live game coverage on Wednesday nights and live Sunday afternoon games starting in Feb. 2024.

NHL on TNT’s coverage of the 2023-24 season will culminate with coverage of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs through the Conference Final.

The network’s opening week of games will highlight one of the biggest storylines in the league, as #1 draft pick Bedard and the Blackhawks travel to play league veterans David Pastrňák, Brad Marchand and the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Boston Bruins on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m., one of the seven times the Bruins will appear on the network this season.

Later at 9:30 p.m., TNT will feature a star-studded matchup between Anže Kopitar, Kevin Fiala and the Los Angeles Kings — appearing eight times on TNT this season — hosting Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche, their first of nine TNT appearances.

The 2023-24 NHL on TNT regular season schedule will feature the biggest stars and rivalries in hockey, including exclusive coverage on 28 Wednesday nights throughout the season as well as a doubleheader on Tuesday, Nov. 7 — Detroit Red Wings vs. New York Rangers at 7:30 p.m. and New Jersey Devils vs. Colorado Avalanche at 10 p.m. — and the annual Thanksgiving Showdown on Friday, Nov. 24 (Pittsburgh Penguins at Buffalo Sabres at 6 p.m., Avalanche at Minnesota Wild at 8:30 p.m.).

NHL on TNT will also be the exclusive home of the 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic, pitting Calder Memorial Trophy winner Matty Beniers and the Seattle Kraken against the 2023 Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights, led by Conn Smythe Trophy winner Jonathan Marchessault, Jack Eichel and Mark Stone at T-Mobile Park – home of the Seattle Mariners – on Monday, Jan. 1. This will be TNT’s third consecutive year broadcasting the highly anticipated annual outdoor event.

Starting Feb. 25, TNT will broadcast eight weeks of Sunday afternoon telecasts through the end of the season, spotlighting teams around the league hoping to make a final push towards the playoffs.

Additional NHL on TNT regular season schedule highlights include:

  • Notching his 19th campaign in the NHL, Sidney Crosby will mark his season debut on TNT as the Penguins visit Hockeytown to take on the Detroit Red Wings, led by Dylan Larkin, on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 p.m.

  • It will be rising star vs. superstar on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. when Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils — their first of eight appearances on TNT this season — take on the Washington Capitals and Alexander Ovechkin as he continues his chase of Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goal scoring record.

  • Both 2023 Stanley Cup Final participants will be in action on Wednesday, Nov. 8: the 2023 Eastern Conference Champion Florida Panthers and Matthew Tkachuk will play Ovechkin and the Capitals at 7:30 p.m., followed by the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Golden Knights hosting Kopitar and the Kings at 10 p.m.

  • On Nov. 22, Pastrňák and the Bruins battle Tkachuk and the Panthers at 7 p.m. — a rematch of the thrilling First Round, seven-game series of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and arguably one of the biggest upsets of the season. At 9:30 p.m., Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski and the Dallas Stars host Eichel, Stone and the Golden Knights.

At 3:30 p.m. the “Battle of Pennsylvania” – Philadelphia Flyers vs. Penguins – returns to TNT. Additional Sunday matchups will include:
