TNT’s Players Only Franchise to Debut Tonight, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. ET
Live Game Coverage to Feature Cavaliers & LeBron James vs. Bucks & Giannis Antetokounmpo at 7 p.m.;
Pacers & Paul George vs. Rockets & James Harden at 9:30 p.m.
TNT’s innovative Players Only franchise – with former NBA and WNBA stars serving in all broadcast roles – will debut tonight, Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. ET, the first of the franchise’s five consecutive Monday doubleheaders on the network.
Monday’s doubleheader will feature the Players Only team of Greg Anthony (primary host/play-by-play), Kevin McHale, Richard “Rip” Hamilton and reporter Dennis Scott calling the game between the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. The night’s second game will include Brent Barry (primary host/play-by-play), analysts Grant Hill, Derek Fisher and reporter Lisa Leslie on the call of Indiana Pacers vs. Houston Rockets at 9:30 p.m. The Cavaliers/Bucks game will not be available in the local Cleveland market.
Chris Webber, Chris Bosh, Isiah Thomas and Baron Davis will provide studio analysis and commentary throughout each night of Players Only coverage via the Players Only Pregame Show presented by Autotrader; Players Only American Express Halftime Report and Players Only Postgame presented by KIA.
Segments from Area 21 with TNT analyst Kevin Garnett and this week’s guest Latrell Sprewell will also be incorporated into the Players Only studio and game coverage throughout the evening, including special content airing during commercial breaks following the first and third quarters.
Chris Bosh joins NBA TV to talk about Players Only
Players Only will continue Monday, March 6, with Indiana Pacers vs. Charlotte Hornets at 8 p.m. and Boston Celtics vs. LA Clippers at 10:30 p.m.
TNT’s NBA programming lineup includes 64 regular season game telecasts, along with all of the premier events originating from NBA All-Star 2017 in New Orleans, and more NBA Playoff games than any other network. TNT will be the exclusive home of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals this year.
