Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Announces Commentators for Second Round Game 5s of 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO

Coverage to Continue Tonight with NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon at 6:30 p.m. ET, Followed by a Doubleheader of Game 5s - Devils at Hurricanes & Kraken at Stars 

2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs Presented by GEICO to Culminate with WBD Sports' First Ever Presentation of the Stanley Cup Final


WBD Sports' Sports Emmy-nominated NHL Playoff coverage will continue tonight on TNT with Second Round, Game 5s, starting with NHL on TNT Face Off presented by Verizon at 6:30 p.m. ET followed by Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils traveling to take on Sebastian Aho and the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. Kenny Albert, Eddie Olczyk and Patrick Sharp will call the game. 

Later at 9:30 p.m., the Dallas Stars with Jason Robertson will take on Calder Memorial Trophy finalist Matty Beniers and the Seattle Kraken. Alex Faust, Jennifer Botterill and Kathryn Tappen will provide game commentary. 

Tomorrow night, TNT will present Second Round Game 5 doubleheader coverage: the Florida Panthers and Matthew Tkachuk will look to close out their series against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Auston Matthews at 7 p.m., followed by the Vegas Golden Knights and Mark Stone defending their home ice against the Edmonton Oilers and this postseason's points leader Leon Draisaitl. Brendan Burke, Darren Pang and Kathryn Tappen will call Panthers/Maple Leafs, and John Forslund, Shane Hnidy and Jody Shelley will call Oilers/Golden Knights. 

Live game coverage throughout the postseason will be preceded by a 30-minute NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside a rotating collection of esteemed analysts including hockey icon Wayne Gretzky, Vezina Trophy winner Henrik Lundqvist, 10-year NHL veteran Anson Carter and Calder Cup Champion Paul Bissonnette. 

 

The studio team will alsoprovide analysis and insights between periods during the Lexus First Intermission Report and the Discover Second Intermission Report, and the NHL on TNT Post Game Show, presented by Cadillac.
