THE BOOK OF JOHN GRAY

Season Premiere Saturday, April 6 (9 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET/PT)

Pastors John and Aventer Gray are back, preaching and ministering to those in need of hope and grace, strength and healing. As they come to terms with their own struggles related to trust,marriage, and John’s health, we see that their trials may also be the source of their wisdom. As they continue to work for one of the largest churches in America, they are also wrapping up their life in Houston and preparing to follow John’s new calling to take over as the lead pastor at a church in Greenville, South Carolina.  As John tries to deal with the pressure to build a new team quickly, Aventer deals with the anxiety of having to move her family yet again, and even greater fears about whether or not she is ready to take on the role of first lady. Whether John and Aventer are dealing with problems in their own lives or assisting members of the Houston and Greenville communities, both John and Aventer share God's teachings and reveal the complexities of their personal journey like no one else -- with courage, commitment, and a much-needed sense of humor. Their road may be rocky, but no matter where they are, John and Aventer are always willing to fight the good fight, and their greatest priorities remain love for their church family, their children, and each other.

John helps a fourteen-year-old girl experiencing racism for the first time at school and meets a woman who runs a popular style blog, but secretly deals with her own personal insecurities. John and Aventer seek advice on how to build their team for Greenville.

John helps former fashion stylist reclaim her life after losing her legs in a devastating car accident. Married couple DJ and Stacey reach out to John when their new business causes distrust and miscommunication in their marriage.

John works with a young boy who is acting out after the death of his father figure, and helps an MMA fighter find new purpose after he loses his ability to fight. Aventer wonders if she has what it takes to be the first lady of their new church.

John helps a woman afflicted with vitiligo to feel comfortable in her own skin, and a mother and her

adult daughter reach out to John after butting heads about their careers and parenting. Aventer

devises a plan to help John finish his long-delayed album.

As season four of Tyler Perry’s drama opens, Lushion (Charles “Malik” Whitfield) comes to Kelly’s (Edwina Findley Dickerson) jail cell and discovers an alarming revelation. Across town Alex (Amanda Clayton) and Randal (Eltony Williams) cling to consciousness in a small shed that is burning to the ground around them. Brad (Aiden Turner) struggles as he tries to unravel Alex’s web of lies and the news of the DNA tests hits the city of Maxine very hard. Soon, suspicions cause Natalie (April Parker-Jones) to doubt the strong foundation she has built with Lushion while Eddie (Joel Rush) begins to concoct retaliatory schemes against Larry (Donovan Christie, Jr.), Randal, and Steven (Ryan Haake). Eddie’s anger sends him into a crazy rampage, and as Randal plots to get the upper hand on his competitors, his harassment expands to include one of the most vulnerable residents of Maxine. After years of abuse suffered at the hands of Edward, Esperanza (Zulay Henao) finally finds love in a very unlikely place.

Creating homes that deserving families love to live in is at the core of “Home Made Simple.” The show pairs inspiring families, a team of professional designers, carpenters, and special guest artists, who work together with the families to create simple solutions to everyday home challenges and design dilemmas. Host Laila Ali will be working alongside families as they transform their living, work and play spaces, revealing the compelling and inspiring stories of the families behind the makeovers. Laila, who describes herself as a “home cook,” will also teach the families delicious, easy recipes from her cookbook “Food For Life.”
