TNT to Tip Off 2018-19 NBA Season with Marquee Doubleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 16 – 76ers vs. Celtics at 8 p.m. ET & NBA Champion Warriors vs. Thunder at 10:30 p.m.

NBA TV to Feature Raptors & Newly-Acquired Kawhi Leonard vs. Wizards & John Wall on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. and Rockets vs. Clippers on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 9 p.m.

 

TNT will tip off the 2018-19 NBA regular season with an Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 16, featuring the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder with Russell Westbrook and Paul George at 10:30 p.m. ET.  In the night’s first game, Eastern Conference heavyweights laden with young talent will meet – the Philadelphia 76ers with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons vs. the Boston Celtics with Kyrie Irving and Jayson Tatum – at 8 p.m.

 

Opening night coverage on TNT will include Golden State’s championship ring ceremony prior to the opening tip of the Warriors/Thunder game.  The night’s action will begin with a one-hour TNT NBA Tip-Off presented by Autotrader pre-game show at 7 p.m.

 

LeBron James’ highly-anticipated Los Angeles Lakers debut vs. the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard will be featured on the network’s continuing coverage of Autotrader Premiere Week on Thursday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 p.m.  The doubleheader will begin with the 76ers hosting the Chicago Bulls and off-season addition Jabari Parker at 8 p.m.

 

The Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA presented by Kia studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith will provide pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage for both Opening Week doubleheaders.

 

TNT’s marquee regular season game schedule will also include a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day tripleheader on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 – New Orleans Pelicans vs. Memphis Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Rockets vs. 76ers at 8 p.m. and Warriors vs. Lakers at 10:30 p.m.

 

In addition to TNT’s Opening Week and MLK Day lineup, NBA TV will open its season with the Toronto Raptors and newly-acquired Kawhi Leonard vs. the Washington Wizards and John Wall on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., followed by Chris Paul taking on his former team – Houston Rockets vs. LA Clippers – on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 9 p.m.
