NHL on TNT will exclusively showcase its third outdoor game of the season – the 2022 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic – on Sunday, March 13. Nicknamed the “Donut Box,” Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario will play host to the faceoff between two fierce rivals separated by just 100 miles and the U.S.-Canada border – the Toronto Maple Leafs, led by Auston Matthews, and the Buffalo Sabres co-captained by Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons. 

Kenny Albert will provide play-by-play, with commentary from Wayne Gretzky, Eddie Olczyk and Keith Jones

Coverage of the 2022 NHL Heritage Classic will begin at 3:30 p.m. ET with a half hour NHL on TNT Face Off Presented by Verizon pregame show from the state-of-the-art studio in Atlanta. Host Liam McHugh will be joined by three-time Stanley Cup Champion Rick Tocchet, 10-year NHL veteran Anson Carter, and hockey personality and former AHL & NHL veteran Paul Bissonnette. The studio crew will return for the Lexus First Intermission Report, the Discover Second Intermission Report and a 15-minute postgame show.

Before NHL on TNT heads north of the border, three of the league’s top Hart Trophy contenders – Leon Draisaitl, Connor McDavid and Alexander Ovechkin – take to the ice on Wednesday, March 9 at 8 p.m. as the Edmonton Oilers host the Washington Capitals. Brendan Burke will be on the game call, with commentary from Darren Pang and Tarik El-Bashir.

At 10:30 p.m. the Montreal Canadiens visit the Vancouver Canucks in a East vs. West matchup. John Forslund will provide play-by-play, with commentary from Bret Hedican.
