Colin Quinn & Friends: A Parking Lot Comedy Show

Headlined and directed by Colin Quinn, MC’ed by Rich Vos, and shot at a repurposed drive-in movie theater in Brooklyn, NY, under strict coronavirus safety protocols, Colin Quinn & Friends takes audiences behind-the-scenes of this unique comedy showcase. With enthusiastic honks and headlight-flashing supplementing socially-distanced laughter, the comedians talk coronavirus culture; missing their grandparents and maintaining the peace with their significant others in quarantine; the quirks of performing live for the first time in a long time (let alone on the banks of the East River, where the crashing of waves is messing with the timing of their jokes); and much more. Interweaving standout moments from their sets with exclusive backstage access – which finds the comedians commiserating over how deeply the pandemic has affected their careers, taking bets on who will bomb first, and lamenting the future of their art form – the special drives home that, while this particular evening went surprisingly well, it’s far from ideal, because an in-your-face audience is the lifeblood of comedy.
