My Gift: A Christmas Special from Carrie Underwood

On September 25, 2020, Carrie Underwood released her first Christmas album, My Gift, which quickly went on to top Billboard’s country chart. Accompanied by her good friend and revered music director Rickey Minor, a choir, and live orchestra, the music superstar steps onto a festive stage and performs such tracks as “Away in a Manger,” “Sweet Baby Jesus,” and “Mary, Did You Know?” as well as other all-time favorite career hits like “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Something in the Water.” Later, John Legend joins Carrie for a stirring duet of “Hallelujah,” which he wrote for the album. Two members of Carrie’s family also make special appearances: her mom Carole, who shares stories about her daughter’s lifelong love of Christmas and gift-giving, and her son Isaiah, who is a featured voice in “The Little Drummer Boy.” As the poignant evening comes to a close, Carrie takes a moment to wish everyone a new year filled with peace, love, and joy.
