There Is No “I” in Threesome
Film Premieres February 11, 2021
Soon-to-be-married New Zealand couple Ollie and Zoe are embarking on an open relationship until they say, “I Do.” Ollie, a filmmaker and editor, has convinced Zoe to document the whole thing on film in hopes of displaying the alternatives to monogamy. Though he loves Zoe completely, Ollie feels he hasn’t explored the full extent of his own sexuality and thinks being in an open relationship will help satisfy curiosities before they commit to each other for the rest of their lives. Guided by some ground rules (their “Monogamish Manifesto”), they set out to play the field and uncover new versions of themselves, while promising to be honest and document everything. After temporarily relocating to Auckland to further her acting career, Zoe begins a fling with her director Tom, which quickly turns serious. Meanwhile, back in Dunedin, Ollie finds himself with a new girlfriend, Siobhan. Between jealousy, threesomes, and vulnerable conversations, Ollie and Zoe must address hard truths about their relationship and ultimately face the surprising implications of their experiment.
